SecuTec Genu is an extremely lightweight hard frame knee brace with an anatomical fit that provides an especially secure fit during movement to the knee during and after rehabilitation and/or surgery for injuries to the cruciate ligaments, severe knee instability, meniscal refixation or patellar fractures. Six straps in combination with a hard frame offer comprehensive stabilization following ACL, PCL or complex ligament injuries in accordance with the four point principle.
Easily positioned and fastened by the patient with the snap-in buckles, SecuTec Genu reduces stress on the injured knee during rehabilitation and during sports activity post-rehab. The range of motion can be easily controlled without the use of special tools. Flexion and extension can be limited independently from one another.
Without the need for tools, it can be restricted in:
- Flexion: 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°, 90°
- Extension: 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 45°
- Immobilization: 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 45
SecuTec Genu is extremely lightweight, slim and stable, thanks to a specially processed light metal alloy frame. This frame provides a high degree of rotational stability including for the edges of the tibia.
Secutec Genu is available in two versions:
Frontal Version:
- easily donned with the leg stretched and adjusted at the front by the patient
- provides a high degree of rotational stability including for the edges of the tibia
- height adjustment of the calf strap to ensure the perfect fit (in 2 stages
Dorsal Version:
- soft, cushioned strap for sensitive shins
- adaptable calf shell with self-regulating inclination angle, adjusts automatically to ensure the perfect fit during movement
Indications:
- Rupture of the anterior and/or exterior cruciate ligament (ACL, PCL)
- After ligament surgery / ligament reconstruction
- Severe and / or complex instability (traumatic, degenerative, e.g. "unhappy triad")
- Collateral ligament injuries
- To restrict the knee joints range of motion (e.g. after meniscus refixation or meniscal implantation)
- Patellar fracture (non-surgical and post-operative)
